What does DPI actually mean for a digital image?: Honestly: less than most people think. DPI is a metadata hint for printing — it doesn’t change the pixels. A 3000 × 2000 image prints at 10 × 6.7 inches at 300 DPI regardless of what the DPI field says. The tool shows both the stored value and the real print sizes.
Why does my image show “no DPI set”?: Many files — especially screenshots and web images — simply don’t carry a density value. That’s normal, and it doesn’t affect how the image displays on screens.
